Meeting Point: Büyükhüsun 13-19 August 2009

Meeting Point: Büyükhüsun is the second time the Meeting Point project comes alive. Following the concept of ‘recycling’, a playground of creativity on art, design, performance and local cuisine will be generated through workshops that will be led by Anita Bacic (AUS), Ateiler BomDesign (NL), Body-Process Arts Association (TR) and local initiators (Gülpınar, Büyükhüsun TR); accompanied by a festival program that will add a new flavour to the life in the village.

In a village overlooking the Aegean Sea where the breeze blowing through the vast olive orchards of Turkey and from the Greek island of Lesvos meet; we will be looking into the inherent ability of the villagers in recycling anything available in their vicinity, and with that inspiration, make objects of creativity with contemporary interventions.

Registrations will be handled on a first-come first-serve basis. The final date for applications is August 1st, 2009.

Buluşma Noktası: Büyükhüsun 13-19 Ağustos 2009

Buluşma Noktası projesi ikinci kez hayata geçiyor! ‘Geri Dönüşüm’ kavramı çerçevesinde sanat, tasarım, performans ve yerel mutfak konularında Anita Bacic (AUS), Atelier BomDesign (NL), Beden-İşlemsel Sanatlar Derneği (TR) ve Gülpınar ile Büyükhüsun’lu yerel inisiyatiflerin (TR) yürüteceği atölyeler yaratıcılığa davetiye çıkartırken, buna paralel olarak sürecek festival programı köydeki günlük hayata farklı bir lezzet katacak.
Türkiye’nin uçsuz bucaksız zeytinlikleri arasından esen meltemin, karşı kıyıdan Midilli Adası’nın esintileriyle buluştuğu, Ege Denizi’ne nazır bu köyde; bir yandan köy sakinlerinin elinin altındaki herşeyi geri dönüştürme konusunda içselleştirmiş olduğu beceri mercek altına alınırken, diğer bir yandan güncel müdahaleler ile bu beceriden ilham alınarak yaratıcı nesneler üretilecek.

Kayıtlarda ilk başvurulara öncelik tanınacaktır. Başvuru için son tarih 1 Ağustos 2009'dur.
