Summer School in Geography of Tourism

30th August – 4th September 2010
RIMINI CAMPUS – Via Angherà, 22 – Rimini

The Summer School in Geography of Tourism is organized every year in Rimini since 2006, by the University of Bologna, Faculty of Economics. Every year programme changes and adapt to frontier challenges in the topic.

Topics of the 2010 edition will be: Geography of Tourism, Heritage & Territory; Social History & Tourism;
Virtual Spaces, Social Networks And Tourism: from concept to public; Itineraries Planning & Promotion: the case of the “Rotta dei Fenici”; Communicating and telling places trough the performing arts: the “traffic.art+dance project” and more cultural projects; Local and Regional communication policies: roles of destination management organizations (DMOs); The experiences and marketing strategies for promotion and for territorial development: The case study of the APT Servizi srl in Emilia-Romagna; World Heritage and local development: communicating and promoting an outstanding universal value.
Attracting events included in the program: the case of the Palacongressi and the Convention Bureau.
Study Tour: Telling the territories: guides, landscape & testimonials.
