The Belgian Presidency of the EU will organise two conferences on culture next autumn in Brussels: "Creativity, Culture and Innovation" and "Contribution of culture to combate poverty and social exclusion"

• "Creativity, Culture and Innovation - Looking for new links" (8-9 September 2010)

The aim of the conference is to discuss - from two different angles - the links between culture and innovation: The role of innovation to contribute to the development of the cultural sector and the impact of culture on innovation from an economic and social point of view.


• "Contribution of culture to combate poverty and social exclusion" (17-19 October 2010)

Linked to the European Year for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion 2010, the conference aims to demonstrate that combating poverty and social exclusion concerns and implies directly the culture policy field.
