Published by Intellect and Ixia, organization that provides guidance on the role of art in the public realm, a journal Art & The Public Sphere provides platform and forum in which to debate for academics, artists, curators, commissioners, art historians and theorists whose working practice are broadly concerned with contemporary art’s relation to the public sphere. The first issue will focus on the “Intersection of Politics, Art and Urbanism”, but the publication also invites professionals to contribute with articles that prompt debate.
