Manifesto for culture in the UK

The Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and Arts Council England are two of the many cultural institutions involved in the release of a manifesto which, before the UK general election, demonstrates with facts and figures that a fifteen-year period of investment has made a strong contribution in terms of economic and social development. The document calls for public investment to be kept in the same line. Entitled “Cultural Capital: a Manifesto for the Future”, the publication shows how investing in culture and heritage can help Britain’s recovery from recession. The full text can be found at
