The ECLAS 2010 Organizing Committee invites abstracts to be considered for presentation at the 2010 Annual Conference taking place between 29 September and 2 October 2010 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The conferences takes Cultural Landscape as its theme, inspired by the belief that preservation and protection of globally, nationally, regionally and locally significant cultural landscapes, both designed and vernacular, are critical to sustaining the continuum of land use and history across generations. Protection of these cultural resources offers inspirational values and an appreciation of past and present ingenuity, accomplishments, hardships, and hopes, as well as insight into future land use and design solutions.

In addition to keynote addresses and symposia given by invited speakers, individuals are invited to submit abstracts for both paper and poster presentations.
The official language of the conference is English. Authors wishing to submit a paper should submit an abstract on one of the following topics:

- Responses of cultural landscapes to changing natural processes
- Landscapes as a reflection of changing cultural processes
- Technology as a driver of cultural landscape change
- Education, research methods and approaches

Deadline for abstracts: 2 February 2010
Deadline for full papers: 1 June 2010
