Call for applications: Artist residence at lorgean theatre, Bucharest
cristina epure
How would it be like to live for a whole month in a theatre that measures 32m2? And how would it be like to write a play which will be performed in the same place you lived in?
You can find the answers during a one-month residence proposed by lorgean theatre, the only apartment theatre in Romania (lorgeantheatre.wordpress.com). Between the 1st and the 30th of May, one artist will have the opportunity to live and create in a communist block, in the apartment that hosted in the last 3 years performances and experimental theatre. This residence is open for playwrighters and performers from outside Romania who have a project suited to be staged in this domestic space. lorgean theatre offers, besides the lodging (of course!), the amount of 500 euros, a Bucharest map and some friendly neighbours.
To apply, please send
*your CV
*a letter of intent (1 page maximum, don't write too much)
*the presentation of the project you want to realise in this residency (1 page maximum also)
We like handwritten applications, so you can send yours to this address: Jean-Lorin Sterian, Sipotul Fantanilor Street no. 4, ap. 55, 010157, sect. 1, Bucharest, Romania. Or you can use the email adress: lorgeantheatre@gmail.com. The deadline is the 5th of March 2012.
