AN EXTRAORDINARY EXPERIENCE:
MONUMENTAL INSTALLATIONS PUSHING THE BOUNDARIES OF PERCEPTION AT BORUSAN MUSIC HOUSE WITH THE EXHIBITION
« MATIÈRE-LUMIÈRE »
Invading all floors of the Borusan Music House, MATIÈRE-LUMIÈRE is like a visual feast, composed of technological installations by 9 globally reknown artists and artist groups from a wide range of countries. The exhibition is curated by the Paris-based Richard Castelli, globally recognised for very important shows worldwide.
The artworks combining the elements of light, movement and sound, offer the viewer an interactive and striking experience not confined to a single mode of exploration. The exhibition bears witness to a new direction within the media arts where electronic academisms are swept aside in favour of a more intuitive, physical and sensorial approach which returns the Body and its sensations to their rightful place at the centre of the creative act and the experience of art. Some works reveal themselves in the intersection of Matter and Light; others arise from their confrontation. In some of them, Matter becomes Light, and in others, Light becomes Matter.
Artists include :
