The first museum of its kind in Turkey, Proje 4L/Elgiz Museum of Contemporary Art, Istanbul will host in its Project Rooms two simultaneous exhibitions: the young Italian artist Giovanni Ozzola and three young Turkish Artists. The exhibitions curated by Elena Forin will take place between September 16 and October 16, 2010. They aim to establish a dialogue between Italy and Turkey, converging cultural, artistic and linguistic varieties.The exhibitions honor “Istanbul 2010 European Capital of Culture” by expanding borders and embracing international content.In the quest for and artistic touch that embraces vision and image, Giovanni Ozzola (Florence, 1982) believes the exhibition for Elgiz Museum, Istanbul, is a chance to reflect on the connection and the extreme limits of these concepts.The exhibition path that was especially conceived for the museum carries on with a search on the limits of maximum and minimum possibility of vision, in connection with the flow of time and the chromatic context it activates.
