The National University of Mar del Plata and the Argentinean Graduate Cultural Managers Association announce the First International Congress of Cultural Management – New Paradigms, to take place in Mar del Plata, Argentina, on 21-23 October 2010. The main aim of the event is to create a place where ideas, experiences and reflections on cultural management may be exchanged. Moreover, the new sociocultural paradigms of management will be analyzed. The cultural issues that will be treated in the congress include: cultural management instruction; culture and education; culture and the environment; tourism and culture; research in culture; international cooperation; native cultures; cultural experiences of communities; culture for social transformation; visual arts, performing arts, cultural heritage, and museum management; state and private cultural management; and cultural management in non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
