The next TEH Network Meeting on September 9-12th will be held at Moritzbastei, a cultural centre located in an old bastion in Leipzig, Germany. The building, dating back to 1551, will for an intense few autumn days be filled with activity, when TEH Members and Friends gather for the 70th time to exchange ideas, knowledge, and…cheese.

The programme of TEH Meeting 70 includes a Capacity Building Day as a part of the mobility- and professional development pilot project CHANGING ROOM. Workshops will be held on topics such as Strategic Financial Planning, Finance for Beginners, Sustainable Cultural Centres and Bar & Catering Management.

The original Moritzbastei building was ruined in the Second World War, but was rebuilt in the 1970’s. The centre opened as a students’ club in 1982, and since 1989 it has been open to all visitors, offering everything from concerts and play performances to readings and exhibitions.

Visits to some other interesting cultural centres in Leipzig are also planned during the meeting, as well as a boat tour on the city’s new waterways. Trans Europe Halles welcomes Members and Friends to an interesting and eye-opening meeting in the only remaining part of the ancient city fortifications of Leipzig!
