Project concept:
Website Freshflesh.cz came out similarily to its live events with an intention to offer a
selection from conterporary czech and slovak art scenes, with an emphasis on presentation of
video, audio and audiovisual materials. By teh activity of the project, step by step a network
compilated from the most interesting things (authors, creators, projects, opportunities..),
which moves the czech/slovak art scene.
The basic aims of the Fřesh Fľesh project are:
1 )Presentation of czech and slovak young, developing and establishing art, artists and
artistic groups/projects
- Running a web magazine Fřesh Fľesh
- Organising live showcase events
- Production of promo compilations and anthologies
2 )Interferring opportunities for young and developing artists
- By cooperation with artistic productions, agencies, schools and institutions
- By active addressing of magazine and showcase events to promoters, agents,
producers and similar.
3 )Developement of intercultural dialogue trough artistic cooperation
- Educating young people in culture journalism
- Using the editors level as a non-formal form of learning

Aims:
1 )Periodical publication of web edition of Magazine (daily and weekly periodicity)
2)Presentation and primal PR of perspective young and developing artists
3)Active presentation of web towards promotores and producers
Basic concept of magazine
Fřesh Fľesh is a new model of multimedia platform for young art and culture in Czech
republic and Slovakia. It joins level of media space designated for broader public comunity,
the PR level aimed to promote young art and culture and finally the function of networking.
We would like to introduce network to our countries as a tool profusely used in western
european countries (older EU members) for presentation of artistic creations and sharing of
informations. By introducing such a tool, which is not well known in Czech republic and
Slovakia, we can bring the practices of european culture management to local culture
managers, organisers and of course artists.
Media level:
In media level, the Fřesh Fľesh Magazine is represented mostly by news and culture studies
and journalistic opinions. Both of this sections are above all designed towards primar target
group, defined as a broad young public comunity. The section of studies/opinions (in czech
called „publicity“) should attract also the target group of art and culture proffessionals.

Project Assets
Project should essentially raise the level of young art and together with whole artistic scene in
Czech republic and in Slovakia. Thanks to media, PR, production and networking support we
will be able to offer the opportunities to perspective young artists, who might become a part
of proffessional scene in future. Essential device lays in people working on the project – all of
them are young so the are able very well reflect their artistic space.
Alongwith mentioned, project also offers unique possibility of personal developement of
every one of the participants of project (members of newsroom) – intending culture workers,
managers, culture journalists, critics or artists. It gives a space to a qualite self-realisation
trough a youth-educative project.
Fřesh Fľesh Magazine would like to offer qualite culture news and opportunities to not only
young artists and young cultural organisators but also to broader young public comunity. The
opportunities offered by Fřesh Fľesh Magazine do not intervene only to the field of arts and
culture but also they helps with creation of civili society consciousness.
This media space should become laso a platform for student of different aristic schools in
Czech republic and in Slovakia. It offers the possibility to meet others in a indepedent space,
not liable to dramaturgy of any of artistic or journalists schools and the project so stimulates
developement of inter-school and inter-field projects. Project of Fřesh Fľesh Magazine and its
events reacts on important changes in practices of artistic production in western Europe.
Creative industries, including living art, are having in european countries bigger impact on
gros domestic product than for example car industry. And it is because of such a tools like
networking. Thanks to a network, based on information source from all over the Europe and
whole world we are able to offer enough of informations and opportunities and trough
connection wiht foreign projects we will be able to develop culture networking in Czech
republic and in Slovakia.
Intercultural and european level of project
Concerning its international ambition, the project is an essential tool for creating of
intercultural relations mainly in central european region. The project aims to interfere qualite
artistic exchange within Czech republic and Slovakia and to benefit so to creation of modern
cultural values.
Project of Fřesh Fľesh Magazine has important value also on european level – as one of the
first networks in Czech republic and in Slovakia it will essentially enhance artistic cooperation
between czech/slovak and european artists.
Educative level of project
Fřesh Fľesh Magazine has an essential function of non-formal educative process. On the level
of editors and redactors it counts mostly with students of colleges and hugher
schools/universities. In a cooperation with supervisors and lectors from the field of
professional journalism and publicity, the project takes the participants in 12 months (ideally,
in first stage in 4 months) trough all the practices of journalists work in field of art and
culture. Outputs of their educative process will be represented by articles published in
magazine. We are considering also to use joint groups, in whose one „skilled“ (acomplished
the workshop) and one new redactor will be placed under the supervisory of an editor. The
ability to work in team alongwith individually think and deal with objectives, is one one of the
essential character traits which should develop among the participants of project. Trough 4
months of projects the participants will have the opportunity to visit many uniwue culture
events and gain the basics of journalists practice. Every one will be provided by a press card.

Live events:
The „live“ output of Fřesh Fľesh project are periodical showcase events, wher the young
and emerging artist will be showcased. The events will také place evry two months. Every
artist chosen by dramaturgic council is given 30 minutes of free space, technical, production
and material support. All the art fields are represented. Every evening is thematicaly based
and its visual apperance, the scene, is always created by one of the young visual artists. These
live events are realised by creative tea under the leading of art director, Petr Cibulka.
Target group of Fřesh Fľesh Magazine
Primary target group (artists, professionals):
a) Men and women aged 16 to 30 years, further defined as half-professional artists or
students of artisitc schools, with lower and medium income, with high or university
education. 80% of them living in bigger cities in Czech republic and in Slovakia. Target
group rate: 30 %
b) Men and women aged 20 to 65 years, further defined as professional artists,
journalists, cultural workers and organisators, with medium and higher income, with
high or university education. Living in Prague and in Bratislava. Target group rate: 10
%
Secondary target group (broad young public):
a) Men and women aged 16 to 30 years, further defined as broad young public comunity,
students of higher schools and universities in Prague, with lower and medium income.
Target groupe rate: 40 %
b) Men and women aged 16 to 30 years, further defined as broad young public comunity,
students of higher schools and universities in bigger czech and slovak cities, with
lower and medium income. Target group rate: 20%

Cooperating with creative team of project, Fřesh Fľesh magazine should be promoted in a
creative way. We are going to use more channels to reach all the people in our target group
and beyond.

E-mail: different types of newsletters, the content of promoted articles is readable only
after clicking the URL link. Partners promotion.
RSS feeds: personalised feeds for different groups of professionals and nonprofessionals.
Every RSS article will be provided with Partners promotion.
Web: Promotion trough banners installed on „befriended“ websites - media partnership
cooperation. We would like to focuss on websites of artistic institutions, productions,

Mediaplan:
Mediaplan counts with aimed promotion in specifically chosen TV and radio shows
alongside with specialised newspaper heads. Maybe connected with creating part of the
content of mentioned shows/heads.

Training/courses: promoting Fřesh Fľesh Magazine also as an educational project,

People/Positions
Art director – manages the creative team and is personally responsible for creative outputs
Head of production – manages the production team and is personally responsible for
realisation of whole project
Editor-in-chief – manages the magazine team and is personally responsible for media outputs
Dramaturgic council – consisting from editor-in-chief, art director, head of production, 3
skippers and 3 members of creative team, is reasponsible for artistic and cultural choices made
during the artistic, jounralistic or any other production.
Creative team: prepares and realise the artistic part of live events (direction, scenography,
themes), creates graphics and cooperates on PR/promotion.
Production team: consist from head of production, 2 production assistants, PR/promotion
executive, media plan implementer. Head of production coordinates whole team and is
responsible for fundraising, partners and media partners. Production assistants are responsible
of production of live events/magazine. PR/promotion executive cooperates with creative team
and with head of production on develpement of new, creative ways of promotion. Media plan
implementer respects the media plan, set-up by head of production and goes trough media with
promotion.
Magazine team: consists from editor-in-chief, 3 skippers, editors and redactors. Editor-inchief
is personally responsible for publication of sections. Editors are working with teams of
redactors and are responsible to editor-in-chief for exact head. They are supervised by skippers,
who are responsible for the content of sections. Redactors are able to move between the heads
adn editors, but always after consultation and has to be agreed by editor-in-chief.
Participant´s Profile
- Young person aged not more than 30 years from Czech republic or from Slovakia.
- Student of college, high school or university in a field of journalism, arts or arts theory.
- Willing to develop personnally, be creative and with a dynamic attitude to work.
- Being interested in learning new things and develop it skills also as a part of a team.
- Able to accept challenges and face stress.
- Have a strong interest in field of arts and live culture.
- Be communicative.
